600 gas stations offering renewable fuel – and that’s just this year!

With this announcement, the Spanish oil company Repsol is setting standards across Europe. These efforts are in the context of the company’s goal to be ‘zero net’ by 2050, specifically targeting the corporation’s CO2 new emissions.

Repsol is now planning the widespread introduction of HVO 100 in Spain to sustainably supply existing vehicles with diesel engines. Currently, 60 locations already offer HVO 100, and this number is expected to be tenfold by the end of the year. In comparison to Germany, Spain is ahead in this respect too!

The absolute highlight, however: in Madrid, there will also be three stations with synthetic gasoline! This is planned as a pilot project and is unique for the Iberian Peninsula.
